Bass is one of the true legends of SCC. Has played for all for sides with distinction, and now has the role of Chairman of Cricket. An unorthodox batter, capable of getting the ball in unusual areas, but always churns out 500 plus runs a summer. Bowls nagging little away swingers, getting the odd one to turn, it really is a test of bottle for the batter wheather to go for it or hang in there. Was one innings short of winning the Division 1 batting averages in 2003, with an incrediable average of over 100!!
