Week 6 of the DCCL saw the first clean sweep for the 'Dons' in 2017.

The 1s entertained local rivals A&B at The HSG Oval. The skipper Adam Finlay once again lost the toss, and the visitors chose to bat first. And it looked a good decision as their openers put on 70 odd, in 20 overs. Paul Allen made a double break through, which gave the scoreboard a better look. The spinners came on and did a good job keeping the visitors in check, with Joe Ashdown taking 4-69. as A&B were dismissed for 182. Josh Brear and Michael Mitchell again started solidly, adding 50 in 15 overs. The loss of Mitchell, triggered a mini collaspe, leaving the Dons on 83-4. This brought together Rory Christophearson and Ben Ashdown. Both mixed up defence and attack suberbly, with Rory using all the sweeps, and Ben picking his ball to deposit out of the park. The pair remained unbeaten as the Dons past the total with 6 wickets in hand.

The 2s travel across town to face Allestree. The Dons lost the toss and were asked to bat, and like recent weeks, never looked back. Matt Archer (46) and Andy Brear (21) again laid a solid foundation, and it was Mani Saini who finished the innings in style making a blistering 94, including 7 sixes as the Dons made 300-9. The bowlers who had a few runs to play with, were in no mood to hang about, as they rolled the hosts for 131 in 26 overs, Paul Cook taking 3-45 and Ciaran Ellard 4-29 to secure a huge victory.

The 3s hosted rivals Ockbrook at The HSG Oval. Having won the toss, the Dons bowlers skittled the visitors for just 64, with Allon-Paul Scotton taking 4-29 and Will Parker 3-16. The batsman had no trouble knocking them off, Tyler Forrester finishing 25 not out to secure a 7 wicket victory.

The 4s travelled to Denby, and bowling first restricted the hosts to 133-8, Owen Lowe taking 2-7. Openers Ben French (40) and Isaac Harrison (61no) did most of the work, as the Dons secured a 7 wicket victory.

The 1s Prem T20 was rained off on Sunday and is rearranged for this Sunday at Cutthorpe
