Latest News

With the 1s on a free week, all eyes were on the 2s, 3s and 4s as they all looked to continue their promotion pushes.

The 2s were at The HSG Oval, taking on Darley Dale. Having lost the toss, the Dons were sent into bat, and dispite 41 from the ever reliable Andy Brear, the home side were bowled out for 160. It looked an under par score, and so it proved as the away side knocked them off 4 down with overs to spare, to knock the Dons of top spot for the first time this season.

The 3s were involved in a low scoring match at Sawley. Bowling first the Dons rolled the hosts for only 68, with Ashani Jones and Will Parker both taking 3. In reply the Dons staggered over the line, 5 down to secure the points and keep them in the promotion picture.

The 4s hosted Stainsby at The HSG Oval and had a repeat result from the previous Sunday against the same opposition. Bowling first the Dons restricted the visitors to 104-8, and took little time knocking them off, with Ben French (38) and Al Hibbert (42 n.o) cruising past the total, 2 wickets down inside 20 overs.Spondon badge
